Frequently Asked Questions

We have prepared a list of Frequently Asked Questions for your review. If you don't find your question below, or need any futher information, please contact us.

1. Is Nathan T. Edwards, founder of Austin Diversified, still active with Austin and what is his role?
Mr. Edwards is CEO of Austin. Mrs. Edwards is Executive Vice President. Both are full-time and actively involved in all aspects of the business including New Challenge.
2. Just how many door-to-door sales people are selling Austin products?
Between 300 and 400 depending on the time of year. During the spring, summer and fall months we have as many 400 or more. During the winter, more like 300.
3. How do you recruit young people from the inner cities of America?
Local newspaper advertisements and referrals. Prospective sales people call our office in Harvey, IL where our full-time recruiters make sure the candidates are bona fide; i.e., have proper ID, pass a xxxxx check, have references, communication skills, want to work and are free to travel. .
4. Do all the Austin sales people have their own personalized web sites?

No. To have their own site, they must have an outstanding record of achievement with Austin. That means they:

  1. rank amongst our top sales people,
  2. conduct their business professionally,
  3. are role models for the entire organization and
  4. demonstrate leadership skills which means they actively work with our new sales recruits to not only teach them business skills but also show them how to work with others, set goals and handle life’s ups and downs.
5. Why aren’t your ADVANAGE products available in retail stores?
The retail business model is very different from ours. In retail, the largest expense is advertising. In our business, the largest expense is our sales organization. If we went into retail, we would be unable to realize our corporate mission to bring hope and opportunity to young people living in the impoverished, underprivileged neighborhoods of America.
6. Just how ‘Green’ is ADVANAGE and your other Wonder Cleaners?
According to an independent testing lab, ADVANAGE recently surpassed the United States Government’s standards and specifications for ‘Ready Biodegradability.’ ADVANAGE exceeded the EPA’s standard of 70% by 7.6%. The testing was conducted according to the “Modified OECD Screening Test for Ready Biodegradability.”
7. Besides purchasing your products - what else can I do to help you help young people learn how to help themselves?
Tell your friends to go to www.newchallenge.us, buy our products and spread the word.
8. How does the surfactant in the new ADVANAGE pick up grease and oil?

To thoroughly remove grease and oil (whose chemical properties cause them to reject water), the cleaning liquid and oil must mix together so that when wiped, the oil and cleaner are removed as one.

If the oil and cleaning liquid do not combine (emulsify – the mixture of two unblendable liquids), then the oil will remain on the surface and the cleaning materials.

ADVANAGE’s patented surfactant chemically interacts with oil and water and breaks down the surface tension (barrier) between the two liquids.  This causes the two to mix together, thus making it easy to clean without leaving any residual stains on the surface or the cleaning utensils.
